PTFE has the advantages of thermal stability from -65 C to 250 C, chemically inert to practically all reagents and atmosphere, it has lowest dielectric constant and dissipation factor and highest volume and surface resistance. It is also mechanically strong, flex life and flame proof. They are smaller in size and hence lighter in weight.
